Birkirkara FC Women's Team consolidated their second place in the BOV Women's First Division League on Tuesday evening, when a brilliant strike by Stephania Farrugia just past the half-hour mark enabled them to defeat Raiders FC 1-0, in a very hard-fought match.

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team extended their positive run in the Youths League Section A with the third victory in the last four matches, when a brace by Joseph Willy enabled them to defeat San Gwann with a 2-0 score.

Birkirkara FC heaved a sigh of relief as they returned to winning ways in a fashionable way in the BOV Premier League when L'Imam Seydi netted a hat-trick and Matija Smrekar scored a brace with the other goal arriving by Ryan Camenzuli in an entertaining 6-3 victory over Mosta FC.

Joseph Zerafa's ban reduced

The Malta Football Association has upheld Birkirkara FC's appeal over the three-match ban given to Joseph Zerafa, after his sending off in the last minutes of the Knock-Out Quarter Final match against Valletta. The ban is now reduced to two matches, meaning that if the Stripes make it to the Knock-Out Final, Zerafa will be available for selection.

Birkirkara FC Women's Team conceded their third defeat in the BOV Women's First Division League when an unfortunate own goal two minutes from time saw them losing to arch-rivals Hibernians FC with a 3-2 score in an entertaining match.
