Birkirkara FC were denied from their second consecutive victory in the BOV Premier League when loaned player Edin Murga scored three minutes from time to cancel Vito's Plut first-half goal as Birkirkara and Mosta shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Birkirkara surged ahead mid-way through the first half on the twenty-fifth minute. Liliu was instrumental as his powerful surge on the right opened up the Mosta defence before the Brazilian squared to Vito Plut who poked home from close in for his third goal in the last two games.

However, Mosta's efforts paid off three minute from time as they made the score level. They owed it to Murga who set off on a diagonal run on the left, drifted infield and dispatched a perfect shot into the far corner.

The Stripes had Mauricio Mazzetti sent off in the added time of the second half following an incident off the ball.

Scorer of the opening goal, Vito Plut was named the BOV Player of the Match.
