Birkirkara FC contingent in Albania

Last Thursday Birkirkara suffered a 1-0 loss in the home leg of the Europa League First Qualifying Round. This week they will be involved in the away leg and 'The Stripes' will definitely have a difficult task to come back from the one goal disadvantage.

Last Friday the squad had a recovery session at the Radisson Hotel. Yesterday the squad started preparing for this difficult and important match and they held the first training session. Today they will have another training session at the Mosta Grounds at 18:30.

Tomorrow the Birkirkara FC contingent, which is made up of the squad, technical staff and representatives of the committee, will be meeting at the airport at noon to catch a flight to Rome at 14:00 and they should arrive by 15:20. They will have some rest until 21.50 when they will have another flight from Rome to Tirana which will take around an hour and a half. On arrival at Tirana, the contingent will have another hour of travelling by coach to Shkoder where they will be staying at the Hotel Colloseo.

On Wednesday the squad will start their day with a light breakfast and then they will have the first training session of the day at 11:00 followed by another training session at 19:30.

Thursday is match day. The match will be played at the Loro Boriçi Stadium and it scheduled to kick off at 19:00.

The contingent will be returning Malta on Friday. After travelling back to Tirana, they will depart to Rome at 06:15 and should arrive at 07:40. Then the squad will have their last flight from Rome at 11:40 and they will arrive at the Malta International Airport at around 13:00.
