Birkirkara FC Vs. Floriana FC - Match Preview

by Clayton Schembri - 22nd December 2020

Birkirkara FC will be seeking to end the year commitments on a positive note, when they will face the current champions Floriana FC this afternoon in a re-scheduled match that will be played at the Hibernians Stadium (Kick Off – 17:00).

The Stripes' manage to turn around their fortunes after the mandatory quarantine, as the team led by Coach Andre Paus won four matches and draw two from the last six matches. However, their position in the league standings remains far from expected as they lay in the ninth place on eighteen points, but with a game in hand. A win for The Stripes will put them sixth place while narrowing the gap with Mosta FC and Gzira United FC, who are in fifth and fourth place.

On the other hand, Floriana FC will be on the lookout for a victory after they lost their last two matches against Sliema and Hamrun. Their last victory was against Valletta when they won with a score of 3-0. The Greens are currently occupying the tenth place of the table on sixteen points, but with two games in hand.

Coach Andre Paus must do without the suspended Kurt Zammit, who collected the 4th yellow card against Gzira United FC.

Although, we can`t go to the stadium due to Covid-19 restrictions, we would like to encourage you to support the team anyway from your home and watch the game on live.mfa.com.mt

Come on the Stripes!
