Kurt Zammit was born on the 26 February 1996 and he is a versatile player that can play in every department of the pitch. He is one of the Birkirkara FC Youth Academy products that made it with the Senior Team.

Kurt has the ability to play in both the offensive and defensive departments. He has started his career as a forward, but he was deployed to a left-back position as he gained a utility-player role.

He made his debut with the Senior Team in Season 2012-2013, at the age of sixteen years old. After he had been called-up to form part of the Under-19’s Team in the beginning of the season, he made his debut with the Senior Team on the 17 November 2012. He was included as a substitute in the 3-0 victory against Melita FC in the BOV Premier League.

In the following Season 2013-2014, Kurt ended the Youths League Section A top scorer with twenty-three goals from eighteen matches, as he helped the team to win the first ever Youths League title. On the other hand, he continued to gain more valuable experience with the Senior Team as he made eighth appearances.

During the same season, on a national-team level, he formed part of the Under-19’s National Team for the UEFA Under-19’s Championship qualifying mini-round. He was the youngest member of the squad and he played all three matches.

In Season 2014-2015, Zammit ended the team’s top scorer in the Youths League Section A with ten goals from thirteen matches. On the other hand, he made twenty-seven appearances with the Senior Team and scored his first goal with the team on the 14 February 2015. He scored the third goal in the 3-0 victory over Pieta Hotspurs in the quarter-final of the FA Trophy.

Kurt had a satisfactory season in Season 2015-2016, where he made twenty appearances and scored three goals. However, in the following season, he was loaned out to Tarxien Rainbows FC to continue gaining experience and playing-time.

During the same season, he made his debut with the National Under-21’s Team on the 15 November 2016 in the 2-2 draw against Cyprus in a friendly match. He went on to form part of the squad for the UEFA European Under-21’s Championship qualification.

He returned with Birkirkara FC to form part of the squad for Season 2017-2018.
