BOV Premier League - Qormi FC vs. Birkirkara FC
by Ayrton Galea - 22nd April 2019Coach John Buttigieg will be aiming for a winning start in his second spell as Birkirkara Coach as the Stripes will take on Qormi FC this evening in a match that will be played at the Hibernians Stadium (Kick Off - 19:00).
For the fourth time this season, the Stripes will be under new guidance as following the resignation of Coach Mark Buttigieg, the club appointed John Buttigieg who was already their Coach between 2007 and 2009.
The Stripes will be hoping that the new guidance of experienced Coach like Buttigieg will lead them to the fourth place as following last weekend's results, everything is still up for grabs.
A win this evening, which would be just their second in five matches, will lift them just three points under Hamrun Spartans FC and one point under Balzan FC. In the last matchday, the Spartans take on leaders Valletta FC while Balzan takes on current runners-up Hibernians FC.
However, their task is anything than easy as Qormi FC will be all-out to avoid the relegation and force the play-off as they are currently two points under St. Andrew's FC. They are coming from a shocking 3-2 victory against Hibernians FC that provided hopes of escaping the relegation.
Coach Buttigieg will welcome back Terence Agius after his three-match ban while Kurt Zammit is suspended.
The Stripes won the first-round match with a narrow 2-1 score.
Come on the Stripes!
