Stripes take on Senglea as they seek second victory
by Ayrton Galea - 15th September 2017Birkirkara FC will be seeking to register their second consecutive victory in the BOV Premier League, when this evening they will take on Senglea Athletic FC.
Coach Paul Zammit registered a winning start on his return as Birkirkara Coach, as the Stripes scored two goals in the second half to defeat Mosta FC. This was the first victory in the league for the Stripes, following a 1-1 draw against Floriana FC and a 2-0 defeat against Gzira United FC.
On the other hand, Senglea Athletic also registered their first victory in the third matchday of the league, as they defeated Lija Athletic with a 3-2 score in an entertaining five goal thriller. The yellow-and-reds registered a 2-2 draw against Sliema Wanderers FC and a narrow 1-0 defeat against Valletta FC in the first two matches of the league.
Birkirkara are boosted by the inclusion of Ryan Scicluna as the Stripes' Youth Academy Product signed a fresh new three-year contract with the Club on Wednesday evening.
The match will be played at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and it will kick off at 18:00. Transport from Valley Road leaves at 17:00.
