Birkirkara FC suffered the third defeat in the last five matches when a goal seven minutes from time by substitute Juninho Cabral gave Floriana FC a 1-0 victory.

Floriana registered the winning goal seven minutes from time when Nicholas Chiesa delivered a first-post from the right and substitute Juninho Cabral anticipated Cain Attard and slotted home past goalkeeper Ini Akpan from close-range.

Birkirkara are now on twenty-seven points, and they are now nine points away from leaders Valletta, five from Hibernians and three from Balzan. Floriana are now on level points with Birkirkara, and four points over Tarxien Rainbows.
