Seven Birkirkara FC Youth Academy products in today's line-up

Birkirkara FC Youth Academy has always believed in the importance of having its players make it to the Senior Team. Today's match against Qormi was a showcase of this mentality, as the Stripes had no less than seven Academy products in the eighteen-man squad.

The seven players namely Goalkeeper Clyde Xuereb, Fabien Lufi, Clint Zammit, Andrea Curmi, Kurt Zammit, Joseph Zeafa and Ryan Camenzuli were all between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one expect for Zerafa, aged 27. This continues to confirm the importance that the Senior Team gives to its Academy players. Zerafa and Camenzuli started the match while Kurt Zammit was included in the second half.
