Mazzetti joins Birkirkara, Mendoza loaned to Qormi

Birkirkara FC and Qormi FC have reached an agreement over the swapping of players Mauricio Mazzetti and Alejandro Mendoza. Mazzetti will be transferred to Birkirkara on a permanent basis, while Mendoza will be loaned out to Qormi till the end of the season.

Mauricio is a twenty-eight year old defender who was brought on our island by Qormi FC. He is considered by many as among the best foreigners in this season. During this Premier League campaign, he had fourteen appearances, and scored one goal.

The strong defender is the Club's third signing in the January Transfer Window, after Nassir Maachi and Mirza Hamzabegovic.

On the other hand, Alejandro Mendoza joined our Club in the 2012 Summer Transfer Market, and following two successful seasons with us, due to injuries and lack of the first-eleven selection he failed to reach the previous years' level. He had made 83 official appearances with our Club and scored three goals.
