Champions Birkirkara to face leaders Mosta in Women's League
by Ayrton Galea - 14th January 2013The reigning champions, Birkirkara Women's Team could move on top of the table joint leaders with Mosta as tomorrow evening they will cross swords in the much awaited clash.
Having lost the Women's Knock Out, the Women's Super Cup and saw their unbeaten record come to a halt, all at the hands of Mosta, Birkirkara have been waiting for this match from probably their last encounter, to have a chance at revenge.
Birkirkara, who are three points behind the same Mosta, managed to bounce back well after the defeat against the same Mosta in the second game of the league. Winning five out of their last six matches, Birkirkara were quick to give a clear message that their intentions are nothing but to keep the Premier League title.
After a good ending to the last season, Mosta began their season with flying colours as they won the Super Cup against Birkirkara and managed to end their unbeaten run. So far, Mosta are still unbeaten in this league campaign as they registered seven wins and one draw when they were held 1-1 draw Hibernians who are also occupying the second place with Birkirkara.
The match will be played at the Luxol Grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:15.
We would like to urge all the supporters to come and support their players.
Come on the Stripes!
