Under 17's kicks off league well - Under 15's to face Attard in first match

The Birkirkara FC's Under 17 Team kicked off their section A commitments in style when in the first match of the league, they managed to beat San Gwann with a 3-1 score.

Kurt Zammit was the hero for Birkirkara as he struck a hat-trick to help 'The Stripes' grabbing the first three points of the league.

Following this match, Under 17's and Head Coach Mr. Glumac gave the following comments, "We had a convincing team performance. We will keep on working hard and I think this win is very promising for the future. There is still room for improvement, but we played like a team."

Birkirkara will be involved in the second match of the league on Saturday, 15 September against St. Patrick.

Under 15's league commitments to kick off next Saturday

The Birkirkara FC Under 15's team will be involved in the first match of the Under 15's Section B league next Saturday when they will face Attard.

Last season, Birkirkara were relegated to Section B after they ended Section A in the 11th position with 11 points from 22 matches.

On the other hand, Saturday's opponents Attard ended their Section B commitments in the eight place with 27 points from 22 matches.

Without any doubt, our youngsters will be doing their utmost to gain promotion back to Section A. A good start is therefore what the team will be looking for.

The match will be played at the Rabat Ajax grounds, situated in Mtarfa and it is scheduled to kick off at 18:45.
