Rowen Muscat called up with National Team

Rowen Muscat has been called up with the Maltese National Team for the first time. The team's caretaker coach, Mr. Robert Gatt announced the 18 men team for the friendly match against Liechtenstein which will be played on the 29 February 2012.

Without any doubt, this call up for Rowen Muscat is his reward for the positive performances with the Under 21 National squad where he had excellent performances and scored important goals.

Four Birkirkara players, namely Joseph Zerafa, Paul Fenech, Trevor Cilia and the latest acquisition Rueben Gauci were all dropped out for this match.

The selected 18 men are the following:

Goalkeepers: Andrew Hogg (Valletta,) Henry Bonello (Sliema Wanderers)

Defenders: Steve Borg, Jonathan Caruana, Roderick Briffa (Valletta), Edward Herrera, Clayton Failla (Hibernians), Zach Muscat (Pieta Hotspurs), Alex Muscat (Sliema Wanderers)

Midfielders: Gareth Sciberras, Rowen Muscat, Shaun Bajada (Birkirkara), Edmond Agius, Dyson Falzon (Valletta), Ryan Fenech (Sliema Wanderers), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibernians)

Strikers: Michael Mifsud (Valletta), Andrew Cohen (Hibernians)
