The 'Rainbows' brushed aside

On Sunday, 'The Stripes' managed to beat Tarxien Rainbows thanks to a goal in each half.

The first goal arrived just after eleven minutes of play, when Michael Galea was served by George Mallia with Birkirkara's best ever top scorer having no problems in slotting the ball home.

The first half ended 1-0.

The second half continued where the first one had left, with Birkirkara being the better side, and in fact our boys doubled the score on seventy-eight minutes, when George Mallia headed-in a fine cross by Trevor Cilia.

With this goal, Birkirkara had all three points in the bag, and will now be expecting the challenge of Marsaxlokk on the 13th of September.
