Srdjan Dimitrov was born on the 28 July 1992. He plays as an offensive midfielder and he joined our Club in the 2016 Summer Transfer Market.
Dimitrov is well known for technical skills as the offensive player can play either behind the striker or on the wing. Dimitrov is considered as a fast player who can be lethal in front of goal while he has the desired skills to feature as a play-maker.
He was recognized as a standout of Indija's youth academy from early age. He made his professional debut at the age of 17 with Indija on 3 October 2009 in a match against Radnicki Niš. At the end of the 2011-12 season he was the third-highest goal-scorer in the entire Serbian First League even though he was a teenager. With Indija, he spent another season and during his four-year spell, he made 76 appearances and scored 19 goals.
With Dimitrov established as one of the most promising youngsters in Serbia, he was offered a move in the top division of Serbia, and he joined FK Napredak in the 2013-2014 season. In his two seasons in the top division, he made a total of 43 appearances and scored six goals, besides a number of assists.
Napredak were relegated but Dimitrov remained with them for the 2015-2016 season and in the first part of the season, in the first division league, he made eighth appearances and scored one goal before joining his former club, Indija in March and was a regular choice till the end of the season by making eleven appearances.
In the 2016 Summer Transfer Market, Birkirkara sought to reinforce their attacking department and the choice fell on the Serbian promising player who signed a one-year contract with our Club on Friday, 17 June.
Following make a very satisfactory debut in the first leg against NK Siroki Brijeg, Srdjan went on leavin his mark in the 2-0 second-leg victory which was played in Malta. Besides producing another terrific performance, he scored the opening goal with a close-range effort in his first goal with our Club.
During his first season in Malta, Srdjan estabilshed himself as one of the best foreigners in Malta. He made a total of thirty-six appearances and scored ten goals as he ended the season as the team's second best scorer.
Srdjan sought for a new experience as he joined FS Rigas in the top division of Lativa. However, he returned with our Club on the 21 December, when he signed a fresh short-term contract till the end of Season 2017-2018.
