Philip Schranz was born on the 14 July 1996 and he plays as a goalkeeper. He joined our Club in the 2015 Summer Transfer Market.

Philip is a product of Melita FC and he made it to their senior team at a young age. With the Reds, he made fifty appearances with the Senior Team before he joined Birkirkara FC on the 11 August 2015 after signing a five-year contract.

He made his debut with the Birkirkara FC Senior Team in the third round of the Malta FA Trophy in the comfortable 6-0 victory over Kirkop United. He was included as a substitute on the seventy-first minute when he replaced goalkeeper Ini Akpan.

Although he featured only one match with the Senior Team, Schranz played an important role with the Under-19’s Team. He won a regular place between the posts in the second part of the league as he played nine matches, and managed to keep seven clean-sheets.

Philip was loaned out to gain more playing time and the much-needed experience in Season 2016-2017. He joined Tarxien Rainbows FC where he had a very positive season, in which he made fifteen appearances.

Following a very satisfactory season with Tarxien Rainbows FC, it was decided that the up-and-coming goalkeeper will be retained by the Stripes for Season 2017-2018.
