Birkirkara FC Vs. Santa Lucia FC - Match Preview

Birkirkara FC will be seeking to extend their positive run to nine matches in the BOV Premier League when they take on Santa Lucia FC in a direct match tomorrow afternoon at the Centenary Stadium (Kick-Off: 14:00). The Stripes will be all-out to register their third consecutive win and keep the pace with Mosta and Gzira.
The challenge for the three places in European competitions has heated up during the last weeks and tomorrow's match carries three crucial points that can see The Stripes back in contention in this important achievement.
Only two points separate The Stripes from Santa Lucia which are occupying the seventh place on twenty-two points and this proves that tomorrow's match will be one of the most important for both sides.
On the other hand, The Stripes are currently occupying the sixth place on twenty-four points but can easily climb to the fourth place after tomorrow`s match. However, this is based on several factors, since The Stripes are only one point behind Gzira and two points behind Mosta. They will be hoping for a slip-up from Mosta as they are involved in a difficult match against the leaders Hamrun Spartans FC, while Gzira had their game postponed against Gudja.
