Lecao 100th Match in the Maltese Premier League

The game against Tarxien Rainbows on Wednesday will mark the 100th game in the Maltese Premier League for Birkirkara Brazilian twenty-seven year old attacking midfielder Alex De Paixao Alves (Lecao). Lecao joined the stripes last September and he played five games till today and scored two goals.
His first appearance in Malta was in 2015, when he joined Tarxien Rainbows for two years contract. With Tarxien he played Fifty-nine matches and scored ten goals. After he moved to Balzan for another two-year contract, he played thirty-five matches and scored eight goals. However, in the transfer window of January 2019, Lecao left Balzan to join Saudi Arabia side Al Akhdoud Club. He spends one year and a half, after he returned to Malta to join Birkirkara in September 2020.
Lecao also played another six games and scored one goal with Tarxien, eleven games and scored eight goals with Balzan in other competitions.
We would like to wish Alex De Paixao Alves all the best for the first season with our club and we are looking forward to seeing him play for many more.
The match will be played at the Hibernians Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 19:00.
