Six players selected with the Women's National Team

Six Birkirkara FC players have been selected with the Women's National Team for the two home friendly matches against Switzerland (Today - 18:30) and Turkey (Friday - 15:00) at the Centenary Stadium, Ta' Qali.

The Stripes, the league leaders, are represented by six players namely goalkeeper Janice Xuereb, defensive trio Stephania Farrugia, Alishia Sultana and Ann-Marie Said and midfield duo Gabriella Zahra and Veronique Mifsud.

For midfielder Zahra, this is her first official call-up following returning to full training of football after her pregnancy. Zahra has made a strong return as she regained her place in the starting eleven of the Stripes.
