The First Half
Birkirkara surged ahead after five minutes. A clearance by goalkeeper Jodie Attard was intercepted by Raina Giusti and the rapid-winger struck a wonderful lob from long distance that stunned the Raiders goalkeeper.
Their early lead was short-lived as Raiders equalised six minutes later. Referee Hristos Palikarov ordered the penalty following a dangerous challenge by goalkeeper Janice Xuereb. From the spot, Leanne Micallef made no mistake.
The Stripes regained the lead on the twenty-fifth minute. Veronique Mifsud played the ball to Kailey Willis and the latter continued the ball to Loza Abera who darted forward and easily placed the ball at the back of the net.
Birkirkara made them three on the twenty-eighth minute. Esther Anu's shot was not held by goalkeeper Attard and from the rebound, Willis had a routine task of drilling the ball home from close-range.
Three became four less than sixty seconds later. Esther Anu served Abera who had her shot from inside the box blocked by goalkeeper Attard, but from the rebound, Willis made no mistake.
The Second Half
Willis completed her hat-trick ten minutes inside the second half. Ann-Marie Said supplied an inch-perfect through-ball behind the Raiders defence and Willis kept her cool to place the ball at the back of the net.
The Stripes made them six on the seventy-fifth minute. Loza Abera showed great skill to get past her two markers before she hit a thunderous shot from outside the box that gave substitute goalkeeper Justyne Caruana no chance.
Tracy Teuma got rewarded for her recent rich form by putting her name on the scoring sheet on the eighty-third minute. In a flowing fast action, Sultana served Teuma who hit a brilliant shot past goalkeeper Caruana.
