Friendly match - Birkirkara FC vs. Cork City FC

Birkirkara FC Women's Team will be playing an international friendly match this evening as they take on Cork City FC of Ireland in a match that will be played at the Sirens Stadium (Kick-Off - 20:15).

The Malta defending-champions enjoyed a strong start in their bid to defend their title for another season after obtaining three wins and a draw in their first four matches. A win next Tuesday will see them take sole leadership in the BOV Women's League after Mgarr United FC were defeated by Swieqi United FC.

On the other hand, Cork City has just finished their league commitments. They placed fifth with twenty-four points won from twenty-one matches played. They obtained a remarkable 1-1 draw against Wexford Youths FC, one of the opponents of the Stripes in the last edition of the UEFA Women's Champions League. 

We would like to encourage the supporters to come to the stadium and support the Women's Team in these types of matches that can help our players to continue gaining experience against foreign teams.
