Ylenia Carabott moves to Chievo Fortitudo FC

Forward Ylenia Carabott will be starting a new adventure in her football career as she has joined Chievo Fortitudo FC in the Serie B of Italy.

Carabott, one of the finest Maltese players, joined our club in July 2018 to bring to an end her long spell with Hibernians FC. During her time with our club, she made thirty appearances and scored fourteen goals.

She was one of the two scorers in the UEFA Women's Champions League in August 2018 that secured the club the first-ever point in the competition thanks to a 2-2 draw against Carfitt Met FC.

The thirty-year-old forward won the BOV Women's League and the Women's Knock-Out in her first season with our club, while she became the second player to score in two consecutive UEFA Women's Champions League editions.

Carabott played her last match with our club on Tuesday evening, in the match against Mgarr United FC that ended in a 1-1 draw.
