BOV Women's League - Birkirkara FC 8-0 Hibernians FC
by Ayrton Galea - 10th October 2019Birkirkara FC started their title-defence in the BOV Women's League by registering the biggest victory ever over Hibernians FC, as they defeated them with an incredible 5-0 score in a match played yesterday evening.
Debutant Loza Abera opened her scoring account with her first two goals. Kailey Willis, last year's team's top-scorer, notched a brace while Raina Giusti and Mariah Sciberras scored a goal each. The other two goals were scored as own goals.
Promising goalkeeper Maya Cachia enjoyed a satisfactory debut with a clean-sheet while Gabriella Zahra played her first league match after missing the entire last season. Simone Buttigieg also played her first league match after joining our club on loan this summer.
