BOV Women's League - Kirkop United FC 0-7 Birkirkara FC
by Ayrton Galea - 13th March 2019Birkirkara FC defeated Kirkop United FC with a very comfortable 7-0 score in the first match of Section A of the BOV Women's League to maintain their six-point advantage on top of the table with five matches to go.
All seven goals were scored in the second half, following a frustrating first half that saw the Stripes dominating the match but unable to get the goal. However, following the first goal, the Stripes didn't look back and went on to register one of the most comfortable victories this season.
Team's top scorer Kailey Willis was back on the scoring sheet by scoring two goals, while Alishia Sultana also notched a brace. Veronique Mifsud and Raina Giusti scored a goal each, while substitute Kelly Agius Pace scored a late goal to add further gloss on the victory.
