U19: Birkirkara FC 4-1 Lija Athletic FC

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team registered their fifth consecutive victory in the Youths League Section A, when they defeated Lija Athletic FC with a convincing 4-1 score.

The Stripes dictated matters for long stretches in the first half and Nevin Portelli broke the dead-lock after eighteen minutes. However, against the run of the play Lija Athletic equalised and the first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

Birkirkara regained the lead thanks to Zack Cassar eighteen minutes from time. This goal settled the Stripes and they wrapped-up their victory with another two late-goals by Gianluca Zammit and Nicky Borg.
