U19 Team: Birkirkara FC 2-1 Balzan FC

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team extended their strong start in the Youths League Section A, when they registered their third consecutive victory and the third one, as they defeated Balzan FC with a 2-1 score.

The Stripes surged ahead just before half-time, when off a free-kick from the left, Captain Zack Cassar was first on the loose ball and his well-placed shot beat the Balzan goalkeeper.

Balzan made the score level on the sixty-seventh minute, when they were awarded a controversial penalty. From the spot, the Balzan player made no mistake.

However, Birkirkara registered the winning goal late in the match thanks to a wonderful direct free-kick from Nick Borg that gave no chance to the Balzan goalkeeper.
