Birkirkara take on Valletta in match of the week

Birkirkara FC and Valletta FC will be involved in the match of the week of the BOV Premier League, when the archrivals will clash this evening.
Both teams have so far had a rather shaky start. The Stripes lost two matches and drew once out of their first five matches while the Citizens lost their last match, after they had dropped two points on matchday three of the BOV Premier League.
Birkirkara returned to winning ways last weekend by beating Naxxar Lions with a 3-2 score, with the Stripes scoring a stoppage-time winning goal. For the Stripes, this was the second victory in three matches under the guidance of coach Paul Zammit.
On the other hand, Valletta conceded their first defeat last weekend, as Balzan came from behind to defeat them with a 2-1 score. These were the first two goals that Valletta conceded, after they had registered four consecutive clean-sheets.
The match will be played at the National Stadium and will kick off at 20:00. Transport from Valley Road will leave at 18:45.
