Mr. Paul Zammit appointed as the new Club's Head Coach
by Ayrton Galea - 1st September 2017Birkirkara FC is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Mr. Paul Zammit to be the Head Coach for two seasons. This will be the third spell for Mr. Zammit, who has won every honour that Maltese football has to offer with our Club.
Mr. Zammit is one of the most successful coaches in the Club's history. He has joined our Club for the first time in the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, and the Club won the BOV Premier League in that season. His first spell with the Club ended at the end of the following season.
He returned to our Club in October 2011 and in his second spell he won the memorable league title in 2013, following a league decider against Hibernians, two BOV Super Cups and one FA Trophy in 2015.
Mr Paul Zammit will be replacing Mr. Peter Pullicino, who was appointed as the club's Head Coach last June. The Head Coach will be assisted by coaches Mark Butiggieg, who joined our Club in June, and Mr Godfrey Grima, who is a new addition to the technical staff.
We would like to welcome coaches Paul Zammit and Godfrey, while we would like to thank Peter Pullicino for his services.
