Stripes take on Minsk in first match of UWCL

Birkirkara FC Women's Team will start their UEFA Women's Champions League commitments this evening, when they will take on FC Minsk of Belarus.

The Stripes will be seeking to give their best shot in the first match of the UEFA Women's Champions League, when they will take on Belarus Champions and present leaders, FC Minsk. The Stripes have played several friendly matches to prepare in the best possible way for this tough tournament.

On the other hand, Minsk have already played fourteen leagues matches, as their league is played between April and October. This put the Belarus side, who are six points clear on top, in a very favourable position as they will be approaching this match in the best physical condition.

The match will be played at the Ljubljana Sport Park and it will kick off at 17:15.
