MFA's Match Calender for Season 2017-2018
by Ayrton Galea - 31st July 2017The Malta Football Association has released the football calendar for the BOV Premier League, Youths Section A, Women's League and Women Under-19's League, among the other divisions and sections.
The Senior Team will start their league commitments with the first match against Floriana FC on Friday, 18 August. On the other hand, their last league's match will be against Hamrun Spartans FC, which is scheduled to be played between the 20 and 22 April 2018.
This will be the first year that the BOV Premier League will feature 14 teams, a new format of two rounds on round-robin basis. The Senior Team's fixtures can be found here.
The Under-19's Team will be kicking off their league commitments with the first match against St. Andrew's on Tuesday, 12 September. On the other hand, their last league's match will be against Sliema Wanderers FC on Monday, 23 April.
This season, the Youths League Section A will be played on Mondays and Tuesdays, unlike the previous seasons on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Under-19's fixtures can be found here.
The Women's Team will be starting their title defence on Tuesday, 3 October against Raiders FC. The end of the first phase will come to an end on Wednesday, 20 December with the match against Kirkop United FC.
This season, the BOV Women's League will feature nine teams, and they will be split in five and four teams in Section A and Section B respectively after the first phase. The Women's Team fixtures can be found here.
The Women Under-19's Team will start their league commitments with the first match against Mosta FC on Sunday, 1 October. The end of the first phase will come to an end on Sunday, 11 February with the match against Kirkop United FC.
This will be the first time that the MFA will be organising a Women Under-19's League. The Women Under-19's Team fixtures can be found here.
