Girls Under-17's register perfect start

Birkirkara FC Girls Under-17's Team started their season with one of the most comfortable victories registered as they defeated Hamrun Spartans with a 13-0 score.

Veronique Mifsud netted four goals, Sarah Urpani completed a hat-trick, Samantha Zarb scored a brace while Michela Felice, Maria Fenech, Sarah Cassar scored a goal each besides an unfortunate own goal led for the Stripes to kick off their league commitments with the perfect win. The Stripes are led by Coach Kelly Agius Pace who was confirmed for another year while Assistant Coach Michelle Zahra joined from Mgarr United FC.

For this season, the league is now played in a 9-a-side pitch at the Kirkop Grounds, instead of 7-a-side, with the introduction of the assistant referees. The duration of the match is now thirty-five minutes per half.

The Stripes will face Zebbug Rangers on Sunday, 23 October. The match will be played at the Kirkop Grounds and it will kick off at 09:00.
