Matteo Desira Buttigieg joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC made their ninth signing in the Summer Transfer Market, when just a few moments ago promising youngster Matteo Desira Buttigieg signed a five-year contract with our Club. As part of the deal, Buttigieg will be loaned to St. Andrew's for the 2015-2016 season.

Matteo, who plays as a forward, is a product of St. Andrew's, where he made it through all the ranks with them. The twenty-one year old player used to form part of the Malta Under-19's National Team and he was also in the squad of the Maltese Futsal National Team.

We would like to welcome Matteo with our Club, while we would like to wish him all the best of luck in the upcoming season with St. Andrew's FC.
