Under-17's Team register third consecutive victory

Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team confirmed their fine form by winning their third victory in the APS Bank Under-17's League Section A. Two goals in the second half by Gianluca Zammit and Ayrton Attard, enabled them to emerge as winners over Floriana FC with a 2-0 score.

The first forty minutes proved to be a balanced affair, as in the first half; both sides enjoyed large swatches of possession but failed to penetrate in the final third. The first half ended goal-less.

In the second half, the Stripes came out strongly and they broke the deadlock after five minutes. Jordan Sciberras' shot was not held by the goalkeeper and Gianluca Zammit pounced on the rebound to put the Stripes ahead.

Boosted by the opening goal, the Stripes were now dominant and they sealed the issue ten minutes from time. Off a fast counter-attack, Ayrton Attard hit home with a fine volley to put the Stripes' heads at rest, and the third straight victory in the bag.
