Zach Muscat moves to Akragas

by Ivan Mizzi - 5th January 2016

Birkirkara FC's and National Team player Zach Muscat is set to take the next step in his football career, as he joined the Italian Lega Pro side Akragas. He will be moving to Akragas on a permanent move and therefore bringing to an end a successful three and a half years spell with our Club.

One of Malta's finest defenders, Zach will bring to fruition his dream of playing abroad. Akaragas are based in Agrigento, Sicily and the club was founded in 1929. They play in the Lega Pro, having gaining promotion from Serie D.

Zach joined our Club in the 2012 Summer Transfer Market and during his three and a half years with our Club, he won one BOV Premier League title, one FA Trophy and two Super Cups. He made 120 appearances with our Club and scored nine goals, while he won twice the BOV Player of the Match.

We would like to thank Zach for the excellent service that he gave to our Club while wishing him all the best of luck in his future.
