Under-16's Team comfortably beat Pembroke
by Ayrton Galea - 14th December 2015Birkirkara FC Girls Under-16's Team registered their second consecutive victory in the Girls Under-16's League when on Sunday morning, a brace by Sarah Urpani and goals by Michela Felice and Samantha Zarb gave the Stripes a comfortable 4-0 victory over Pembroke Athleta FC.
Still in a buoyant mood after registering a very satisfactory victory over Mosta, the Stripes went on by beating Pembroke Athleta. It was a one-way traffic match as the Stripes surged ahead after just five minutes and added another five minutes later to enjoy a two-goal lead at the break. In the second half, the Stripes added two goals to add gloss on their victory.
Birkirkara surged ahead after just five minutes when off a cross from the right by the hard-working Samantha Zarb, Sarah Urpani slotted home from close-range. Five minutes later, the Stripes doubled the score thanks to Michela Felice who showed great skills to power herself inside the box before her low powerful shot hit past the Pembroke goalkeeper.
In the second half, the Stripes made them three on the thirty-eighth minute thanks to Samantha Zarb before seven minutes later, Sarah Urpani sealed the issue with a wonderful goal as the Stripes held on for an outstanding victory.
