Nicholas Farrugia chosen U15 Most Promising Player of YFA

On Friday evening Birkirkara FC Youth Academy held a presentation night for the Under-15's Team, who were crowned Champions of the Under-15's League Section A, while Nicholas Farrugia was chosen as the Youth Football Association's Most Promising U15 Player.

In an entertaining night at the Infetti Training Centre, each player was given a memento and a commemorative poster of last season, where they had an excellent campaign, which saw them clinching the elite section of the Under-15's League.

Nicholas Farrugia was voted as the best player of the Under-15's League. The coaches of the teams who played in the Under-15's League were asked to vote for the best three players for the other, teams and the solid defender got the most votes.

Nicholas told us, “I am very happy with this award. I would like to thank all the coaches who voted for me and all my team-mates who helped me a lot, and if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have won this award.”

He added, “Obviously the team is the most important and together we had a very beautiful season. I would also like to thank the Coaches that helped me, not only this year, but throughout all the years I has been with Birkirkara FC. I would also like to thank my parents for all the patience they have with me, and for helping me in everything I do.”

We would like to once again congratulate the Under-15's Team for their successful season while also congratulating Nicholas for this deserved award.
