Girls Under-16's beat Hamrun Spartans

Birkirkara FC Girls Under-16's Team ended their league commitments on a positive note as on Sunday morning, two goals by Veronique Mifsud gave them a 2-1 victory over Hamrun Spartans FC.
In an entertaining match, Birkirkara produced their best display throughout this season, to register their third victory in the league. They ended in the third place of Section B under Hibernians and Raiders respectively.
Hamrun surged ahead after six minutes thanks to Nikita Agius who beat goalkeeper Anthea Enriquez with a powerful shot. However, five minutes from time, Veronique Mifsud raced inside the box and levelled matters with a fine shot. The same player registered the winning goal nine minutes from time when she dribbled past her marker and her shot hit past the goalkeeper.
