L-Istrina Football Nursery Fun Event a success

12 nurseries were represented by 300 children in this year's L-Istrina Eurosport Football Nursery Fun Event, organised by Eurosport and the Malta Community Chest Fund. Between them these children contributed contributed around €2,000. Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery was the nursery that collected the biggest sum for this event, which amounted to €600, and was awarded by Eurosport with a 'Target Shot and Goal' set for this acheivement.

Eurosport, which donated an additional €10,000 to L-Istrina, brought together a number of nurseries involved in the Youth F.A. to participate in the third edition of the L-Istrina EuroSport Football Nursery Fun Event.

For this year's edition all participating nurseries within the Youth F.A. from the Under 10 age group downwards were invited to participate.

Under the patronage of President George Abela, the event was held yesterday Sunday 15th December at St. Aloysius College grounds, and the Infetti Training Centre of Birkirkara FC.

Participants donated towards the cause and more donations were given by visitors during the event. A certificate, signed by Dr Abela and a medal of the occasion was given to all participants
