Report of AGM 2012-2013
by Ivan Mizzi - 14th June 2013Yesterday evening Birkirkara FC held its Annual General Meeting at the Club's house on top of the Mc Donald's, for the season 2012-13.
Club's President Joe Zammit opened the meeting by welcoming the club members for this annual event of the Club.
This was followed with the reading of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting by the Club's Secretary, Jason Deguara. The minutes were approved by the Club's members.
The administrative report for Season 2012-13 was presented by the Secretary, Jason Deguara. The report mentioned the success of the Club during the past season. The report was approved by the members.
Jonathan Friggieri, secretary of the Supporters sub-committee read the administrative and financial report of this sub-committee, which highlighted the impressive amounts of money raised.
Treasurer, Mr. Ivan Mizzi then presented two reports. The first was on behalf of the Women's team administrator. The report mentioned the successes obtained by the women's team in the season, including the hosting of the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time in Malta, and the winning of both the League and the Knock-out. This was followed by the main highlights from the audited accounts. Both reports were also approved by the members.
Mr. Godwin Falzon of Falzon & Falzon was confirmed as the Club auditor for another year.
Two amendments to the statute were put forward. The first was to lower the voting age for the Club's members from 18 to 16. The second was to prolong the term of the committee from one year to two. Both amendments were approved unanimously.
Since the number of candidates for the committee, equaled that of the number of posts, that is of 13, no election was held. The Club's committee for the next two years will be composed of:
