Women's Team in decisive match against Mosta

by Ayrton Galea - 27th February 2012

The Birkirkara FC Women's Team could be crowned Champions tomorrow evening, if they beat the other title contenders, Mosta.

Birkirkara are passing through the Women's First Division League with flying colours as they are still unbeaten after fifteen matches. In fact they won 41 points out of the possible 45, as they were held twice in a draw, while winning all the rest of the matches. They are currently leading the table eight points ahead of Mosta but the latter have a game in hand.

The current champions, Mosta opened the season by winning the Super Cup over Birkirkara. However Mosta disappointed a bit in the league campaign as they failed to keep the pace with Birkirkara. Mosta, who are currently second with 33 points registered 10 wins, were held in a draw three times and suffered one loss, against Birkirkara. If ‘The Blues' lose in next Tuesday's match, it would mean that it is game over.

The match will be played at the Mosta Grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:00.

We encourage all the supporters to come and support the Women's Team for this important and decisive match.

Come on the Stripes!
