Women's Team one win away from title

Birkirkara FC Women's Team were to face Marsa in their next match in the Women's First Division League. However Marsa withdrew from the league, and according to the Competition Rules of the MFA, the opponents of Marsa for the remaining games were awarded a win. These were to be Birkirkara, Hibernians, Raiders (Luxol), and Gozo.

This means that the Birkirkara FC Women's Team can be crowned champions in the next match against Mosta. Title contenders Mosta lie five points under Birkirkara with a game in hand. The decisive match is scheduled for 28 February, at the Mosta Grounds. Kick off is at 20:00.
