Under 19's Get-Together

The Under 19 Team players yesterday evening had a get-together. They met for some drinks in another informal activity to strengthen further the team spirit which is present in this year's team.

This event was also attended by the Birkirkara FC President Mr. Joe Zammit, the Club's Treasurer Mr. Charles Micallef, committee member Mr. Martin Borg and the Club's Head Coach Mr. Paul Zammit.

The Under 19 squad are doing quite well in the league campaign, where they picked nine out of twelve points. They opened their league campaign with a 3-1 defeat but they bounced back with three consecutive wins. First they defeated St. Patrick's and Attard with an identical 4-0 score and in the last match they overcome the hard challenge of Pieta Hotspurs and won the match with a 2-1 score. Tomorrow, at the Centenary stadium, they will face eternal rivals Valletta in a very important match. The match will kick off at 20:00.

The Under 19's Coach, Mr. Peter Pullicino told us, "these activities are very important. It's good to step away from the pitch and get to know a little more about each other; to get to know about where we have been and where we are going.

”Beyond that, these activities help build relationships that can last far longer than the current season.”

We would like to encourage you to extend your support to the Under 19 Team as well, and to be present for tomorrow's match.
