by Ivan Mizzi - 20th August 2010Birkirkara FC continued to strengthen its squad today, as we registered the Under 21 International player, Terence Vella.
Terence was born on April 20th 1990 and is product of the Gudja United Youth Nursery. Two seasons ago he was playing for the 1st Division side, Pieta Hotspurs while spending his last season on loan with another 1st Division side, Mosta F.C. with whom he had no less than fourteen appearances in the 1st Division League and managed to score three goals. Then in the Maltco Lotteries First Division Knock-Out he made two appearances and scored another three goals.
Our new youngster is sure to be described as a very promising one, thanks to his striker skills, namely his shot, heading ability, dribbling skills and his determination to succeed, all show definite potential for his talent to expand and increase in the coming years.
Terence who was training with our squad for the last few weeks has joined the 'Stripes' on loan from Gudja United.
Vella's first comments were about why he chose to wear the yellow and red shirt. "I believe that Birkirkara F.C. can give me the chance that I have always wanted, to play in the Premier League Division. I am sure that I can improve my skills thanks to the Head Coach, Mr. Paul Zammit and my team mates especially the team's captain, Michael Galea."
Finally, his last comments were for the thousands of supporters, known for always being behind 'The Stripes'. "I would like to express my gratitude to our supporters, who, I am sure will be behind us in the upcoming season as they always have been".
We want to wish Terence the best of luck with our yellow and red shirt.
