Birkirkara FC to take part in Hibs tournament

Birkirkara will be participating in this year's Hibernians Tournament which will be played on Monday 23rd August, Wednesday 25th August and Friday 27th August. All matches will be played at the Corradino Ground in Paola.

The tournament will be played between four Premier League clubs, current Champions Birkirkara FC, newly promoted Marsaxlokk FC, Qormi FC and the organisers, Hibernians FC. These are the same teams of last year's edition when the 'Stripes' emerged as winners thanks to a 3-0 victory over Marsaxlokk and two draws against Qormi and Hibernians.

On Monday Hibernians FC and Masrsaxlokk FC will be playing the opening match at 19:00. Then Birkirkara FC will be making their first appearance when they face Qormi FC at 21:00

On Wednesday at 19:00 Hibernians FC will play against Qormi FC. Then, Birkirkara will face the 'Blues' for their second match of this pre-season tournament. The match will once again kick off at 21:00.

On Friday at 19:00 Qormi FC and Marsaxlokk FC will be playing their last game. Birkirkara FC will end their participation by facing the organizers, Hibernians FC in a match that is scheduled to begin at 21:00. This match will bring the end of this tournament.

Birkirkara FC have so far managed to win this tournament twice, in 2007 and in last year's edition.
