UEFA Women's Champions League

Birkirkara FC's Women's team will be involved in this year's edition of the UEFA Champions League, after achieving a remarkable domestic treble.

'The Stripes' contingent, under the management of coach Johann Scicluna, will leave the Maltese Islands today the 28th of July, with the destination being Copenhagen in Denmark.

Birkikara will be involved in the following Group C matches:
30/07/09 : vs SU 1° Dezembro
01/08/09 : vs Brondby
04/08/09 : vs Cardiff City.

Birkirkara are surely this group's outsiders, as it is expected that our ladies will face very tough opposition especially against the mighty Brondby who have eleven internationals in the squad, two of which forming part of the highly-respected German National Squad.
